Our story

Scottish angel investing since 2004

TRICAPITAL was established in 2004, originally as Tweed Renaissance Investors Capital, in the Scottish Borders. Two decades on, we operate across Scotland as one of the country's most active angel syndicates, leading rounds from £250,000 to £2 million and syndicating with co-investors for larger deals.

We remain a members' club at heart: investments are made by individual TRICAPITAL members, not by the organisation, with each member choosing the opportunities that fit their own interests and portfolio.

2004
Founded as Tweed Renaissance Investors Capital in the Scottish Borders.
2010s
Grows into TRICAPITAL, investing across Scotland and partnering with Scottish Enterprise.
Today
A leading Scottish angel investment syndicate with over 100 individual members and corporate partners across the UK, Europe, USA and beyond.
